The music project of Mousikè APS in Lamezia Terme
Ma Che Musica
Maestro!
Founded in 2012, Ma Che Musica Maestro! is a music project designed for girls, boys and teenagers, with the aim of giving them the opportunity to grow through music in a welcoming and stimulating environment.
The educational journey allows younger children not only to take up the study of an instrument but also to experience a complete learning journey that develops listening, respect and self-confidence, helping them discover and express their own voice in harmony with others.
The value of the project: where training meets the stage
Over the years, Ma Che Musica Maestro! has involved hundreds of young people in a journey where music education and the stage come together through study, rehearsals and shared experience.
Shows, concerts and music productions in theatres and in the most significant venues in our area allow participants to put into practice the skills they've learned, express their talent and grow both artistically and personally.
For some, this experience has also been the start of a career in the world of music and performance.
Collaborations and encounters that leave a mark
The many national-level collaborations are one of the most significant aspects of the project. Notable examples include the partnership with l'Antoniano di Bologna, featuring Sabrina Simoni, and masterclasses with artists such as Massimo Varini, a musician and guitarist known for his work with some of the biggest names in Italian music.
The goal is to give participants the chance to engage directly with top-level professionals, turning the knowledge gained during the yearly workshops into real moments of practice and discovery. In this way, young people sharpen their technical and artistic skills, grow in confidence and self-awareness, and learn the value of commitment, dedication and teamwork, having experiences that leave a lasting mark on their learning journey.
Families inside the project
One of the most beautiful aspects of Ma Che Musica Maestro! is the active involvement of families. Over time, parents and children have shared rehearsals, concerts and emotions. Taking part together helps strengthen family bonds, experience cooperation across generations and live music as a shared moment. In this way, music becomes a tool for connection, sharing and inclusion, making the learning journey a full and meaningful experience for everyone.
The name itself captures the spirit of the project: Ma Che Musica Maestro! evokes enthusiasm and joy, inspired by the famous Canzonissima theme tune from 1970, performed by Raffaella Carrà — a symbol of music that brings people together, gets them involved and makes everyone feel good.
