Mousikè - Productions
Our journey
in musical theatre
For several years now, Mousikè APS has wholeheartedly embarked on the journey into the world of musical theatre – a choice that's no coincidence, since the association's own name evokes the Greek Mousikè, the goddess who unites the arts of music, dance and theatre.
Every production grows out of this integrated vision: offering our community a complete artistic experience that can move, educate and engage.
Beauty and the Beast
The first major musical theatre production by Mousikè APS, created entirely with local artists. The show had two consecutive sold-out performances at the theatre, with a combined audience of around 700, confirming Mousikè's remarkable ability to bring the community together through art.

A strategic choice, rooted locally and open to Europe
There are many reasons why Mousikè APS decided to invest in the world of musical theatre. At the heart of it is the desire to create culture through music, promoting new shows, nurturing local talent and developing programmes that also pay close attention to social inclusion, thanks to meaningful partnerships with other organisations active in this field.
This commitment comes from strong local roots: every production involves artists, families and communities from Lamezia Terme and Calabria. It is precisely this solid base that allows the association to look further afield, towards the rest of Italy and Europe, with the aim of building lasting cultural networks and taking up opportunities such as Erasmus+, which can foster artistic and educational exchanges and enrich the local cultural fabric with international experiences and perspectives.
A Measurable Social Impact
The numbers from our productions speak for themselves: thousands of audience members, families and students involved in just a few years. Musical theatre proves to be not only an art form, but also a tool for bringing people together and building social cohesion across the whole community.
Every show is a moment when Lamezia Terme comes together, is moved, and rediscovers the value of culture as a common good.
